Creatures decomposing of breath are imposing themselves on the cells of the mud
Creatures of clay formed from the day, the day of the death of the flood of the blood of the life
The life that dripped and slipped into the ash
The lash of breath in the void avoided redress

Creatures composed of both flesh and glass are twisting in the mire
Creatures twisting insisting on being born from desire
Composed of lust, that great impetus
Rusted we’d be -without the- zest of the seed
We are freed from our shell even as we feed by the knell

Mechanical beasts, ensouled by belief
Are riveting in their lurching motion
Inimical beasts, enlivened by grief, are searching for some kind of notion
Of life from the mire, of a lyre so dulcet and dire it can drive one to seek
The stars for a brief stint as a sire til scythe bereaves
And the steep slip back to mud made maddened with seeds
